Free Adsense Site Builder!

You are not going to believe this…but you need to!

I just checked out Matt Callens incredible software called
HyperVRE, and this could be the first time that I have used
a free software more than I do my other paid apps.

Matt told me I could let a few people know about the site before
he starts charging for the product, and I had to tell you about this. :-)

Check It Out

While I could go on and on about the features and how they have
befefited my business, I think you really need to see for yourself
what this software really can do.

For now – he is giving this software away for free, so there is no risk. But you need to hurry before there is a hefty one-time payment.

Lessons Learned

Like I said I walked away with a list of tips for the next event and I thought I would share them with you so you are prepaired for the first seminar you attend, if you haven’t allready done so.  You are planning on attending one aren’t you?

I only experienced a small part of what can be acomplished at one of these events and allready I have hotel reservation and a flight reserved for the next event and the tickets are not even on sale yet.

 Ok onto to the list:

1.  Do not expect a vacation – It may sound like a good idea your going to a new town Why not pack up the family and experience it all together? Becuase you are not going to have the time. The real action takes place after the actual event so be prepaired for long days of networking and nothing else.

2.  Go by yourself or with someone else that is also interested – Like mentioned above this is an all day event the itinerary may say untill 4 but you are missing out if you dont stick around afterwards. If you you have someone with you that is not interested in the event it is just going to take you away from your chance to realy get to network, and that is why you are there in the first place.

3. Make your arangments well in advance – You want to stay in the event hotel that way you are right there. Nedd to freshen up just go up to your room and be back in minutes not hours. Trust me you want to be readibly available for anything and the further away you are the less available you are. If you wait to long there might not be room available or the price could as much as double for the same room and or travel arangments.

4. Don’t rely on plastic – Espeacially if you are using your paypal debit card. There were several people there that had their accounts frozen due to suspicious activity. This is great if someone did actually steal your credit card and travel accross the country with it but it sucks if you are half wat around the country  and can’t use your card. Get some travelers checks or if you want to use your card let the company know you are about to travel so they do not think your card was stolen.

5. Speaking of cards make sure you have plenty of bussiness cards to give away. Dont have one? get one they are easy to make or you can have them done very inexpensively. During the breaks you will find yourself in the middle of a conversation when they are ready to get started again. Its much easier to just give that person your card than try to wisper to each other and exchange contact information while the next presentation is getting under way.

6. Have the right tools – If you have a laptop take it, if you have a camera take it if you don’t get one. Bring a video camera, a pen, paper and anything else you may want to use. Even if you don’t think you have a need for those items bring them. Bring any chargers that you may need extra batteries everything you never know what might insspire you while you are there. It is better to have and not need it allthough if you do have it someone there probably does need it. The people that did bring everything had lots of request to use them so if you have it bring it.

7.Be Prepaired – You know who all the speakers are going to be so be prepaired to talk to them. Think of what it is they do and what questions you might have for them. Chances are you will have a lot of questions answered during their presentation. You will be so ov3er wellmed with all of your new information that you might forget the questions you had to begin with so right them down and look at them while their presenting write the answers down as they are given and if any are still unanswered ask them afterwards.

I will be back shortly with some more tips so check back soon!

Focus4 Seminar The event

1

If you read my last post you realize my trip was not the greatest in the world, but we made it there and finally got some sleep.

I woke up and headed over to the Mariot where the event was taking place and nervously entered to see what was awaiting me. Luckily when I made my way to the registration table Mr. Robert Puddy was there. I had never met him before but from interacting with him in NMF ( http://netmarketingforum.com ) I felt like I allready knew him.

He warmly greeted me and introduced me to some of the other members from the forum that were there. This was great I had found my comfort zone and I felt like I was no longer out of place. I interact with these people everyday in the online world and it was nice to actually meet in person for the first time.

After some chit chat the conference room opened and everyone started to enter. I was very excited to hear what all of the presenters had to say (and show). i was very impressed by the first speaker, Keith Wellman. This was the first time he did a presentation, in fact just a year earlier he was where I was and sitting at his first conference. What a year he had and his presentation outlined exactly how he did it.

The day went by and the other presenters continued to impress me with their knowledge. I could hardly keep up, while taking notes ideas were popping up in my head like crazy. I am looking forward to recieving the DVDs from this event so I can sort out some of my notes.

The day of presentations ended and I went back to the hotel I was staying at. Huge Mistake! Again I repeat from my earlier post when you attend a seminar, stay at the seminar hotel.  I went back to the hotel room and spent some time with my wife and went to sleep.

Meanwhile everyone else in attendance at the conference spent the evening having dinner and networking at the bar. I would have went back but it had taken me almost two hours to get the hotel I was staying at, which was only ten minutes away. I have learned that the streets in Seatlle are a little confusing.

The second day of the seminar was equally impressive. The presentations were great but what was even better were the hot seats. This is where all of the presenters would take a look at one of the attendees sites. They went through every aspect of the site and pointed out what was great, what was not so great and what they would do if it were their site.

The information I got from theses sessions was priceless and I can only imagine the impact it had on those whos sites were reviewed. This is where people like Mike Filsaime were giving away little tid bits of advice that could be used on any site to increase its worth in seconds.

That evening I stuck around for a while after the presentation. I did not attepmt to make the trip back to the hotel I had allready missed out on one night. Several of us went out to diner where I learned even more. This is when I realized that this was the most important part of these seminars.

Don’t get me wrong the presentations were great the information given out during them was pricless but gettinng the chance to sit down with some of the great minds in the industry, have a meal and a couple of drinks and realy get to know them some. Well that is the best part of it all. After dinner we all went back to the hotel for some more networking and I realized it was getting late so I went back to the hotel we were staying in.

After ariving at the hotel my wife informed me that we had to leave early due to an unforeseen situation back at home so we got some sleep and headed home first thing in the morning. The ride back seemed to go much faster but that could have been becuase I slept for about six hours while tracy was driving or just becuase I had so many ideas flying around in my head that I wasn’t even paying attention to the drive.

I missed out on a lot of opportunities while I was there by not “being” there. But I still walked away with a greater appreciation of net marketing, some great ideas and a check list of things to do before the next seminar.

Focus4Seminars

I have been back for a little while now and am finally getting a chance to write about my trip to Seattle.

I should have known it was going to be a rough trip espeacially when my bank card was lost two days before leaving. I was able to transfer some funds over to paypal but they did not show up untill we were about 200 miles from our destination.

My wife and I left on Wednsday to take our son to Bakersfield CA. and drop him off to spend some time with his Grandmom. A trip that normally takes about thre hours turned into six thanks to LA traffic.

We finally arrived in Bakersfield and spent a little time with Tracy’s mom. Actually it was more time then expected since this was our first time leaving our son for any longer than a few hours.

We drove for a few more hours waiting for midnight to hit so we could see if the funds posted yet or not so we could get a hotel room for the night. Well apparently PayPal is not on the same time settings as me so there was nothing at midnight.

We drove on untill we were both seeing double and stop at a rest stop to catch some shut eye. I managed to sleep for about two hours before waking up and continueing the journey.

It was about noon on thursday when we arrived to Portland tired, out of money out of gass, and hungry. I mad a wishfull stop at the first gass station I found and ran to the ATM. Finally the funds hd posted. We filled up (with gas and food) and hit the road again.

The rest of the drive went pretty quikly and we arrived later that evening.

Well that was the trip there. It seemed to take forever but at least we made it. Well not actually to the event hotel we had to stay down the road a little ways (15 minutes) due to procrastinating on reserving a room.

**NOTE**  If you go to a seminar do what ever it takes to stay in the hotel the seminar is taking place, or make sure it is at least within walking distance !

Well that covers the trip there. I will be back soon to cover what happened while I was there. I will tell you whether or not is worth it or not, so check back soon.
