On Saturday mornings I host the Affiliate Funnel Seminar, a free webinar where members and guests of AF get together and we discuss different topics related to building an online business.

Two Saturdays ago we were discussing the different type of rights some products come with and we got to talking about how many resale rights and PLR products etc.. we all had on our hard drives, just sitting there collecting “cyber dust”

This evolved into a conversation about different ways we could put these to use, and why so many people don’t make use of the resale license.

Turned out most thought that they would need some fancy script or membership site software to do it.

So we talked about how easy it is to do, and that any one with a paypal account can put up a page and sell a product.

So whats any of this have to do with Diane Merriam?

Well I posed a challenge to every one in the room and told them that if anyone in the room took a product they had rights to and set up a site like we talked about I would promote it for them.

There were a couple of people that asked for more details and seemed excited about doing this.

But.. Monday came and went, as did Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday and I hadnt heard from any one.

Then Friday came and I thought for sure I would have a message in Skype or an email or support ticket or message in the Affiliate Funnel Forum.

Again though nothing, I was a bit disappointed.  One of the things that has been discussed each Saturdays to the point its almost a Mantra is that it is great to learn but knowing how to do something isnt enough , with out any action nothing will ever happen.

So off to bed I went expecting to rant a bit the next morning, but when I woke up , there it was. A message from Diane Merriam, she did in fact take action.Actually she took it a step further.

Instead of just putting up a product she had on her hard drive. She put up a huge collection of products.

Leave a comment below if you have any questions about getting those products up for sale. Maybe you think no one will buy it? Well you did didnt you?

If you put the site up there is a chance that people wont buy it, but if  it just sits there on your hard drive there is a 100% chance that no one will.

There was a big re-launch this past week. Affiliate Funnel relaunched with some new tools and the biggest news in TE land has been the new ranker.

The ranker is great and I love to not only see what people think of my exchanges but what they think of others too.

But one thing that has seemed to get lost this past week is how great Affiliate Funnel is as a program by itself.

At it’s base it is a downline builder, but it goes far beyond that.

It is a complete affiliate training and tool set site.

They have have integrated all the tools you need to promote your self and build your own funnel, this is the only program I know that tells you not to promote them.

Instead they show you step by step how to promote yourself first, they also give you the tools to do it, and if you have any questions at all there are three different weekly conferences were you can ask the experts any questions you may have.

If you use traffic exchanges, want to build your own business, get bigger affiliate checks or any combination of these, than you need to add Affiliate Funnel to your arsenal of tools.

I was in the affiliate funnel seminar earlier today where we were discussing list building.

The first question was “ How do I go about building a list?”

It was a great question and got everyone telling how they go about building their own lists.

Some great tips and tricks were exposed and everyone seemed happy.

I then asked what most thought was a silly question. “ Why should I be building a list?”

If you have read 13deadly where I explain my whys, you would see where that would seem like a silly question coming from me.

But I wasn’t asking for me, I was asking for the benefit of those in the room that may not have known.

Like I said there was some great information put out about how to build a list, but for someone that doesn’t know why, it is kind of pointless.

I could talk to you all day about how to fix helicopters, but unless you had a reason to know how to fix them, there would be no reason for you to sit and listen to me.

The IM niche is full of how to guides, how to build a list, how to promote an affiliate product, how to do pretty much anything you can imagine.

The next time you are presented with an offer ask your self, “why do I need to know that?”

If you can find a reason that fits into your current business plan then grab the opportunity to learn as much as you can, but don’t go out learning how to do everything with out first asking why.
