How does Google give out free traffic?

This is something you’ve experienced first hand countless times. You visit your favorite search engine. Type in something you’re looking for. And click one of the links that shows up. That website owner has just enjoyed the benefit of free traffic. We will be discussing here how to get website traffic to you for free.

If you’re like most people you only click links on the first page or two. The truth is that this first page of results receives nearly all the clicks. What’s even more amazing is the the first 3 links get more than 70% of the free traffic.

This means that to get any real traffic you need to be on the first page in Google. And this means Google needs to “rank” you as a top 10 result. Which brings up..

What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization means that Google thinks your site matches what people are typing into their search box. It’s a complex formula that only people working for Google know exactly. However, we do know a few things that count.

Getting indexed

First, before you can get ranked highly, Google has to know you exist. This is known as being “indexed.” When your website gets indexed, Google stores information about it in their massive database.

To get indexed, you have to help Google find your site. Links from other sites are the easiest way to accomplish this. Google will actually follow the links on sites it already has indexed to find new sites and index them.

Twitter and Facebook updates are great places to put links to your site. Because these sites are indexed multiple times every day. And follows new links it finds immediately.

Gaining ranking

After this first hurdle, you need to start gaining ranking. Google has billions of pages indexed, so just getting into their database does not mean anyone will see you.

There are three components of gaining ranking:

• Content
• Links
• Activity

Great content

This is also called on-page SEO. It’s critical that your page content is consistent with the keyword phrases you’re targeting. The topic of this article is clearly SEO. One reason Google knows this is because the words search engine optimization appear inside it. Another reason is because there are related words, like website traffic, too.

In addition to the content on the page, other things to keep in mind are the title tags on the page, and the domain name itself. These all play a part in helping Google determine what your website is about.

Link juice

Next, you need to pay attention to the links to and from your site. The links to your site, as well as the sites you link to are important. It’s very important that you have more links coming in than you have going out. And the more inbound links the better.

One great way to get lots of inbound links is through web 2.0 sites. To accomplish this you start by writing an article that targets the keywords you’re after. You have to also write several different versions of your articles. And post unique versions to lots of websites that accept articles. The more sites you can do this for, the more links you’ll get back.

Getting activity

Finally, we know that Google gives you credit for the activity on your site. A page that was created 3 years ago and hasn’t been touched since won’t rank well. Google expects you to be updating your site regularly. RSS feeds are an easy way to keep your content changing.

But the best way is with active discussions on your page itself. To get comments from others, you need to get others to visit your site. An easy way to do this is from forums.

Set up forum profiles with the ones related to your website. And post their often. Always include a link back to your site. This will get your more inbound links. And it gets people to visit the site you link to.

Conclusion

Each step listed above is critical. However, writing a bunch of different articles on the same topic. And creating a bunch of forum profiles. And posting your articles and comments takes a lot of time. And the bad news is that you probably won’t do it.

However, rank builder software exists. And it automates everything we’ve just talked about. So my best advice is to automate as much of this as you can. Otherwise, you won’t do it at all. And if you don’t do it, you simply will not ever get free traffic from Google.

No matter what the business is there is always going to be someone that
tries to make it better, faster, easier.

and now the what is being called Panda.2

as the ultimate backlink source.

They have put all their link building efforts into using these paid services that
are placing your links on a network of high ranking pages.

These have worked great and were thought to be untraceable by Google.

Well turns out they are.

One of the most popular private blog networks got all the sites in their network
de-indexed.

So just like that, over night everyone that was relying on this service, paying up to
$400 a month or more, have nothing to show for it.

 Should You Still Do Link Building For Your Sites?

The short answer is … YES!

Back links still play an important factor in your sites rankings. however consider
taking a different approach to your link building strategy.

First of all dont put all of your links in one basket, you want to get several different
types of links from different sources.

Diversity is an important factor that is often over looked, and it helps protect you
in the case that one of the sources gets slapped you are not left with nothing.

Next thing is to stop building links for the sake of building links.

Your link building should be done to get traffic. If you are focussing yoor efforts
on building links that will get you traffic then you win right away.

That’s the ultimate goal anyway isn’t it to get people to your site?

So build links that people will click, and the after effect will be good rankings.

Google does not penalize people for putting out good content in a natural way, every time
there has been an algorithm change those that have been effected the most
are those that are trying to game the system or they have all their eggs in one basket.

Avoid those two things and you will be successful with your link building.

Before even getting into the WordPress panel of the site Firepow creates you’ve also got a site management tab where all your blogs can be managed from one place, an SEO tracking tool to monitor the search rankings of all your sites, and a task manager
that tells you what needs to be done to maintain your blog/s and when.

I dare say though that the best things happen once you’re actually IN the blog.
